Scrumptious rubber stamps from heavenly Devon!

Founded in 2009, we are Emily and Jon from Skull and Cross Buns; we design and create our rubber stamps from our little studio nestled deep within the Devonshire countryside.

Made in-house, Emily makes all of her designs into stamps out of the highest quality rubber, for years of stamping enjoyment. and our wooden stamp mounts are made from sustainable resources by Jon in the old Shippen (cow shed) when he’s not on his shepherding duties up on the nearby family farm.

Our stamp themes cover all occasions and interests and are perfect for creating recyclable cards and wrap. They are beautifully tactile and easy for all ages to use, plus they make great gifts for craft and stationery lovers (and the best little stocking fillers too!)

We are proud to be stocked in over 60 brilliant stockists in the UK, Europe and North America, have a combined socials following of over 20k and have featured in/at Camp Bestival, Fearne Cotton's Happy Place Festival, Native Makers, Create and Craft, Hochanda, Mollie Makes, This Morning, Good Homes, The Independent, Crafts Beautiful, Period Living and many more.

We've made over 100k stamps in the past 14 years; that's a lot of stamping fun!

WE WILL ONLY BE DISPATCHING ORDERS WITHIN THE UK, USA AND AUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.

Shipping

***CHRISTMAS LAST ORDER DATES 2018:
28th Nov Rest of World
4th Dec Australia and New Zealand,
8th USA, Canada and Europe,
18th UK.

These are advisory dates as recommended by Royal Mail but not 100% guarantees that they will arrive by Christmas***

PLEASE ALLOW UP TO APPROX. 5 WORKING DAYS FOR YOUR STAMPS TO BE CREATED TO ORDER AND THEN PERMIT FOR SHIPPING TIME ON TOP (shipping times: UK 2-3 working days approx, Europe 1-3 weeks and USA/Canada/Australia/Rest of World 1-3 weeks). Thank you!

Please note that you (the customer) will be liable for any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery in accordance with your country's tax/import regulations. Returns will not be accepted due to you having to pay customs fees. The value declared on your package will be what you paid for the item (minus shipping charge).

Please allow up to 5 working days approx for your stamps to be created and then allow for shipping time FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM on top.

Shipping time can really vary depending on your location:
UK typically takes 2-3 working days approx
Europe up to 21 days
US and Canada up to 21 days
Rest of World up to 28 days.

These are VERY ROUGH estimates but it's usually quicker if you live nearer to a major city. I cannot make ANY guarantees on how long it will take to arrive, please bear this in mind during busy periods like Christmas.

The UK postal service say to allow a maximum of 21 days for delivery in the UK and 28 days for delivery outside of the UK so I CANNOT replace or refund a lost parcel until this timescale has passed to allow the package a REASONABLE TIME to arrive first. The 21 or 28 days will start on the day the item was shipped as per the email confirmation you receive via Etsy when I post it.

Any deadlines which I give, such as for Christmas deliveries, are a GUIDELINE ONLY and based on the postal service in the UK and what they quote are the last postal dates which never takes into account bad weather, postal strikes etc.

If you want a package to be trackable, there will be an additional charge. Please contact me before purchase for a postage quote and for me to set a listing up accordingly.

Additional policies and FAQs

ALL SALES ARE COVERED UNDER UNITED KINGDOM LAW

Here is some additional information about my stamps; if you want to ask me about anything else which I haven't mentioned please contact me and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. Or if you are interested in a custom order or want one of my existing stamps but in a slightly different size, for example, again get in touch!

The stamp you receive may vary very slightly from the picture shown in the listing, such is the nature of it being hand carved and/or finished by hand! I always work from the same master copy, though.

Please also note the stamp you receive may have some ink residue; this is from the testing the image quality whilst carving but I will clean them thoroughly as I can anyway. Some ink pads can stain the rubber I use but as long as the stamp is nice and clean any staining will not affect your stamping.

A couple of hints and tips, the rubber I use produces the best results with pigment and water based inks but dye based inks tend to 'bead' up on the rubber and produce a poor image. It is also advised to avoid solvent based inks such as Stazon as they can potentially perish the rubber.

The stamps are easy to clean the same way as you do other stamps, with baby wipes, liquid soap and water or specialist stamp cleaning fluids. Stamp cleaning mats are great for getting into the fine details, I can't recommend them enough!

IMPORTANT: ANGEL POLICY

I adopt an 'angel' policy on my stamps, please feel free to use them to hand stamp on your craftwork which is produced to be sold IN SMALL PRODUCTION RUNS and I would love to see what you do with them! All I ask is that the images are not reproduced or copied in any form by any means, graphic, electronic, or mechanical, including photocopying, scanning, making moulds of the rubber stamps to turn into polymer/silver clay charms etc. Any stamp designed by Skull and Cross Buns may not then form a part of the buyer's logo, banner, branding etc without expressed written permission as this will be classed as reproduction as per the Angel Policy.

If you are unsure if your intended use of my stamps may potentially contravene the Angel Policy, please drop me a message and I'll be happy to discuss.

I keep getting asked but I DON'T CLASS MY STAMPS AS FOOD SAFE. Due to the carving technique there can be rough bits in the grooves due to the tools I use so parts could potentially come loose if being used other than a stamp on paper.

IMPORTANT: PRIVACY POLICY (UPDATED 22/05/2018)

This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us, contact us, or otherwise use our services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

We use your information to provide the services you requested and in our legitimate interest to improve our services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. We use your information as necessary to comply with our obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we are deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, we rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud & other services are Privacy Shield certified.

6. Your rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. We describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the contact information below.

Object. You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
